The patience of the teams conducting alcohol tests in Bursa was tested once again. The driver, who could barely stand, registered a blood alcohol level of 1.48 promille despite rinsing his mouth six times. While being taken to the police station, the intoxicated driver's friends informed the police that he was feeling cramped and requested a larger vehicle. Interesting moments were captured on camera second by second.
The teams of the Traffic Inspection Branch of the Provincial Police Department continue to prevent drunk drivers by setting up checkpoints at various points in the city. Most recently, the teams conducting an alcohol check on Bursalı Tahir Street in the central Osmangazi district stopped a vehicle they found suspicious.
HE RINSED HIS MOUTH 6 TIMES BUT IT DIDN'T WORK
While the vehicle was being checked, the driver refused to blow into the breathalyzer. The driver, who rinsed his mouth with water 6 times and was unable to stand, was found to have a blood alcohol level of 1.48 promille after the checks. The drunk driver's inebriated friends tried to prevent the traffic teams from doing their job by causing a scene. When a police officer said, "You are preventing me from doing my job," the drunk driver's friend responded, "Did I prevent you? We love you. I swear I'm going to cry now."
REQUEST FOR LARGER VEHICLES
While the drunk driver was taken to the police station for questioning, his friend told a reporter at the scene, "Don't take those caught in traffic away like convicts, all cramped together. There should be larger cars. People should be able to get in comfortably. They shouldn't feel like convicts. People inevitably experience psychological fear." When asked by the journalist, "Did your friend go like a convict?" he replied, "He went like that, I was sad too."
