The master actress stated that she once weighed 98 kilos and that her granddaughter's words, "You've reached 100 kilos, grandma, lose weight now," were a turning point for her. Menzil said, "Seeing that two-digit number embarrassed me; I decided to lose weight for my health."
The artist, who mentioned that she simplified her diet and added walking and regular check-ups to her life, stated, "My goal was to feel good rather than just to lose weight. I learned to live moderately both on screen and in life."
LIVING WITH HER GRANDDAUGHTER
Nihal Menzil stated that she lives with her university student granddaughter Helin, saying, "As long as there is order, cleanliness, and love at home, that is enough for me." Menzil, who described the strong bond between her and her granddaughter, expressed that Helin is studying foreign trade but her real dream is to paint. "Helin now wants to learn Chinese; she is a very determined child," she expressed her pride in her granddaughter.
