The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, announced that certain rail system lines in Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir will provide free service on October 29, Republic Day. Citizens will be able to use Başkentray in the capital, Marmaray, Sirkeci-Kazlıçeşme, and Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport-Arnavutköy metro lines in Istanbul, and İZBAN in Izmir for free.

The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, announced that Başkentray, Marmaray, İZBAN, the Sirkeci-Kazlıçeşme Rail System Line, and the Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport-Arnavutköy Metro will provide free service on October 29, Republic Day. In his written statement, Minister Uraloğlu evaluated the Presidential Decision regarding the free use of urban rail system lines on October 29, published today in the Official Gazette.

FREE IN ANKARA, IZMIR, AND ISTANBUL

Uraloğlu, who stated that urban rail system lines under the Ministry will be free on October 29 in Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir, said, "In Istanbul, Marmaray, the Sirkeci-Kazlıçeşme Rail System Line, and the Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport-Arnavutköy Metro, in Ankara, Başkentray, and in Izmir, İZBAN will provide free service. These lines will offer all citizens a fast, easy, and economical transportation option throughout the day."

On Republic Day, Marmaray and the metro will be free of charge.
