1-DAY DEMONSTRATION AND MARCH BAN



In a statement from the District Governorship, it was noted that some groups have been identified as making calls on social media platforms to organize various protests and events within the district boundaries.



"SUCH EVENTS MAY THREATEN PUBLIC ORDER"



The statement indicated that it has been assessed that such planned or likely events could threaten public order and safety, disrupt social peace, and negatively affect the fundamental rights and freedoms of citizens. The following expressions were included in the statement:



"In this context; in order to prevent the commission of crimes, protect public health and general morality, or the rights and freedoms of others, and to ensure public order and safety, all kinds of open and closed area events (meetings, marches, press statements, sit-ins, setting up stands, erecting tents, distributing leaflets, protest actions, etc.) to be held within the boundaries of the Şişli district have been banned by the Şişli District Governorship as of June 22, 2025, for a period of one day."
