While Halit Dertli, who shot and killed his ex-girlfriend Nagihan Karadeniz with a gun in a beauty center in Bursa, is receiving treatment in the hospital, it has emerged that security cameras captured moments of the couple entering the business center approximately two hours apart before the incident.
In Bursa, the treatment of Halit Dertli (49), who shot and killed his ex-girlfriend Nagihan Karadeniz (40) in a beauty center and then attempted suicide with the same gun, is ongoing. Moments before the incident, Nagihan Karadeniz and Halit Dertli were captured on security cameras entering the business center two hours apart.
The incident occurred on March 4 at around 18:30 in the beauty center located on the 4th floor of a 7-story business center on Lefkoşa Street in the Konak neighborhood of the Nilüfer district. Halit Dertli came to his ex-girlfriend Nagihan Karadeniz's workplace, forced everyone inside out, locked the door, and then gunshots were heard. Police, health, and fire teams were dispatched to the address following reports from the surrounding area. Teams that broke down the door found Nagihan Karadeniz and Halit Dertli injured. One of the injured, Nagihan Karadeniz, a mother of one child, could not be saved despite doctors' intervention. After her autopsy, Karadeniz was buried in Yaylacık Cemetery following the funeral prayer held at Mihraplı Mosque. Halit Dertli, a father of two, is still receiving treatment in intensive care.
FIRED 6 BULLETS
It was learned that Halit Dertli, who worked as a real estate agent and had a record for various crimes, had separated from Nagihan Karadeniz about a year ago. According to allegations, Halit Dertli, who came to his ex-girlfriend's workplace to reconcile, locked the door after forcing the customers and employees outside when his proposal was rejected. Dertli reportedly fired 2 shots at Karadeniz, then shot the door of the workplace 7 times, and then aimed at the injured woman again, firing 4 more bullets before attempting suicide by pressing the same gun to his own head.
PANIC MOMENTS IN THE BUILDING CAPTURED ON CAMERA
The last moments of Nagihan Karadeniz and Halit Dertli entering the building two hours apart and the panic that ensued after the incident were also captured on the security camera at the entrance of the business center where the beauty center is located. The footage shows Halit Dertli arriving at the building about 2 hours after Nagihan Karadeniz entered the business center she owned. The camera recordings also include the moment the injured were taken to the hospital by health officials after the incident.
The Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is continuing its investigation into the incident.
