Operation Against Criminal Organization in Çanakkale: 10 Arrests

In an operation conducted by the police against a criminal organization in Çanakkale, 10 suspects were detained.

As part of the investigation carried out by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, teams from the Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch conducted an operation against members of the criminal organization, which was identified as being managed by R.I., who has a confirmed prison sentence of 10 years and 6 months for robbery, and who acquired assets through threats and blackmail.

HISTORICAL ARTIFACTS WERE ALSO FOUND

In a simultaneous operation involving 36 teams, the police searched 13 workplaces and residences. During the search, 3 unlicensed pistols and 56 cartridges, numerous promissory notes and deeds belonging to victims, 3 pieces of material classified as historical artifacts, 3 notebooks containing organizational data, 10 mobile phones, 66 synthetic drug pills, 2 grams of hashish, 4,140 filled cigarette tubes, and 2 boxes of unbanded empty cigarette packs were seized.

It was learned that the 10 suspects captured in the operation are still being interrogated at the police station.
