In four separate operations targeting new generation crime organizations involved in extortion, workplace shootings, home shootings, and vehicle shootings in Istanbul, 25 suspects, including 4 children, were detained. It was also learned that among the suspects, there were 2 female hitmen.
The Istanbul police's Public Order Branch, Robbery Bureau teams have launched an operation to capture the suspects involved in armed attacks on businesses, homes, and vehicles in Bakırköy, Beyoğlu, Ümraniye, Başakşehir, Üsküdar, Şişli, Beşiktaş, Sancaktepe, Küçükçekmece, and Kadıköy to extort money.
Police teams identified the suspects who shot at hospitals, cafes, offices, and vehicles by reviewing hundreds of hours of security camera footage. The suspects were apprehended in 4 separate operations.
25 SUSPECTS DETAINED
In the operations, 25 suspects, including 4 children, were detained. It was learned that among the suspects were 2 female hitmen. Some of the suspects were captured in the hotels and homes where they were hiding. During the searches, 4 firearms, 7 mobile phones, and 4 computers were seized. So far, it has been reported that 13 of the 18 individuals sent to the courthouse have been arrested, while the 7 individuals captured in the latest operation are still undergoing legal proceedings.
FOOTAGE EMERGED
Meanwhile, security camera footage of some of the actions carried out by the suspects has emerged. The footage shows the suspects fleeing quickly after carrying out the shooting incidents.
