In Izmir, the Director of Licensing and Inspection, I.B., and 25 suspects were referred to the courthouse as part of a bribery investigation at the Buca Municipality. It has been revealed that various zoning irregularities in the city were carried out through bribery.
It was stated that in the investigation conducted by the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, various places in zoning and planning at the Buca Municipality were licensed as if they were in accordance with the regulations in exchange for bribes, and that benefits were obtained in this way. In this context, on February 2, an operation was carried out against 28 suspects for whom detention orders were issued, and 26 suspects, including the Buca Municipality Licensing and Inspection Director I.B., were detained.
THEY WERE SENT TO THE COURT THIS MORNING
It was reported that efforts to capture a total of 2 suspects, including 1 person identified as being abroad, are ongoing. The 26 suspects, whose procedures were completed at the İzmir Police Department's Financial Crimes Investigation Branch, were sent to the courthouse this morning after completing their procedures at the police station.
