Search efforts are ongoing for Huriye Helvacı, who went missing on November 2nd, and her 5-year-old son Osman Helvacı in the Bozkurt district of Kastamonu. Her husband, Bayram Helvacı, stated, "We had no family problems; our marriage was normal. My wife would always inform me wherever she went. We have no connection to this village. Our hope continues."
In the Bozkurt district of Kastamonu, search efforts continue uninterrupted to find 43-year-old Huriye Helvacı and her 5-year-old son Osman Helvacı, who went missing after leaving their home on Sunday, November 2.
While everyone is hoping for good news, Huriye Helvacı's husband, Bayram Helvacı, answered questions from journalists. Helvacı stated that there were no family issues and that they had no connection to the village where his wife's last phone signal was received. He mentioned that he was at work on the day his wife went missing, saying, "I left home for work at 07:00 on Sunday morning. She left the house around 13:00. I came home at 23:30 and saw that she was not there. I started calling close relatives. My calls to relatives and the necessary places continued until Monday afternoon. After I was sure, I informed the authorities. After that time, I also called my wife, but I couldn't reach her by phone at all. The phone was off," he said.
"OUR MARRIAGE WAS GOING NORMALLY"
Helvacı, who stated that they had no issues at home, said, "No, we had no problems; our marriage was going normally. We have two children. My daughter is 16 years old and goes to high school. The other is my missing child, who is 5 years old. Search efforts are being conducted because a signal was received in this area. Every day, the surrounding villages are also being checked. But unfortunately, we cannot find them. We have no connection to this village. Neither I nor my wife has any connection to this village," he stated.
"IF SHE WAS GOING ANYWHERE, I WOULD HAVE KNOWN"
Helvacı also noted that such a situation had never occurred before, saying, "This is the first time something like this is happening. She would go to the market. She wouldn't go far without informing me. Even if she was going to the hospital, she would say, 'I am going to the hospital, I am going here.' I would definitely know where she was going. Even when she went to her own village, she would ask for permission, saying, 'We are going to the village, can we go?'"
"THE CHILD WAS VERY ATTACHED TO HER"
Helvacı, who stated that he did not feel any abnormalities before his wife and child went missing, said, "I didn't notice anything unusual in recent days. If I had, I would have intervened. She had a very good communication with her children. She would take care of them. The child was very attached to her. If the communication was low, the child would stay away from her. He loved his mother; they were both very attached to each other. Unfortunately, I have no one I suspect," he expressed.
"OUR HOPE CONTINUES"
Helvacı, who expressed, "Our hope continues," said, "I hope they are found. Our wish is in that direction. All state institutions are here; our government is by our side."
