In a ski resort located in the Lake Tahoe area of California, USA, terrifying moments occurred when three bears entered the crowded slope. The bears quickly passed through the athletes, and the incident was recorded by visitors at the facility second by second. Despite the great panic, the bears crossed to the other side of the slope without harming anyone and disappeared into the wooded area.
In a ski resort near Lake Tahoe, a popular holiday destination in the USA, athletes experienced the shock of their lives. Three bears swiftly passing through the middle of a crowded slope took the breath away from those watching from the chairlift.
FIRST THOUGHT TO BE HUMANS, THEN DOGS
The incident was captured on camera by a visitor named Barclay Weyhrauch on February 18. Noticing the movement on the slope while on the chairlift, Weyhrauch described his astonishment with the following words:
"At first, we thought they were humans, then we compared them to large dogs. But when we realized they were bears, everyone started shouting 'Stop!'
SHOUTS ROSE FROM THE CHAIRLIFT
The bears, moving quickly on the heavily snow-covered slope, passed very close to skiers and snowboarders. The footage shows the bears diving into the midst of the athletes, with some skiers freezing in place while others quickly changed direction and fled. Citizens on the chairlifts above shouted for a long time to warn the athletes below.
A DISASTER WAS AVOIDED
Despite the great panic, the bears crossed to the other side of the slope without harming anyone and disappeared into the wooded area. Authorities once again warned that such encounters in areas where black bears are common pose a significant risk to both humans and wildlife.
