Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that they are maintaining an active dialogue with Turkey and that they will have a road transport connection with Ankara in the near future, which will enable direct access to Europe.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made statements on current issues during his speech at the congress of the Civil Contract Party he leads.
"A CONCRETE SIGN OF PEACE"
Pashinyan stated that achieving peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan has opened the door to a completely new process in the country's history. Emphasizing that no Armenian soldiers have lost their lives or been injured along the border for approximately 1 year and 7 months, Pashinyan expressed that this situation is a concrete sign of peace.
Pashinyan also made statements regarding those who migrated from Karabakh to Armenia, saying that these individuals should now be seen not as refugees, but as dignified citizens of Armenia. Pashinyan stated, "These people should transition from refugee status to Armenian citizenship with our support."
"A LAND CONNECTION WITH TURKEY CAN BE ESTABLISHED"
Touching on the issue of relations with Turkey, Pashinyan noted that the constructive dialogue process with Ankara is progressing positively. He mentioned that these discussions carry promising signals that will enable land transportation to be established with Turkey and thus the European Union in the near future, stating, "This dialogue gives us confidence that we will have land transportation connections with Turkey and consequently the European Union (EU) in the near future."
RELATIONS WITH RUSSIA
On the other hand, addressing relations with Russia, Pashinyan stated that they are in a phase of constructive transformation and will progress towards strengthening relations. Pashinyan said, "Political dialogue with Russia will continue to remain active."
