The law known as the 9th Judicial Package, which amends certain laws, has been published in the Official Gazette and has come into effect. According to the new regulation, new rules have been introduced for the sale process of vehicles that have been impounded and kept in the Yediemin parking lots due to evidence and legal obligations, and which have not been collected by their owners within 6 months. RESTRICTIONS WILL BE LIFTED AFTER THE SALEThe restrictions on the vehicles to be sold, such as 'not for sale', 'non-transferable', and 'seizure', will be reported to the relevant institutions, and the sales process will begin. Once the sale is completed, the restrictions will be automatically lifted, and the registration records will be updated accordingly. OLD DEBTS REMAIN WITH THE OLD OWNERThe sale of vehicles with missing or damaged chassis or engine numbers has also been made possible. The missing information will be completed by the institution conducting the sale in accordance with the relevant legislation. The vehicle will be made suitable for sale. The most curious issue regarding the vehicles in the Yediemin parking lots was who would pay the tax debts and traffic fines. According to the new law, old debts such as taxes and traffic fines will remain with the old owner. The new buyer will acquire ownership rights without any debts.
