Journalists following CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's program in Eskişehir faced repeated physical intervention from the same security guard. First, at the group meeting in the Atatürk Culture, Arts and Congress Center, the guard blocked press members trying to leave the stage. Then, during a shop visit on Hamamyolu Street, he pushed journalists who were filming, preventing them from doing their jobs. These two interventions sparked strong reactions both in the hall and on the ground.
The same security guard assigned to CHP Parliamentary Group Leader Özgür Özel's programs in Eskişehir physically intervened against press members, first during the group meeting and then during a visit to tradesmen in Hamamyolu.
HARSH INTERVENTION AGAINST JOURNALISTS
During the group meeting held at the Atatürk Culture, Art and Congress Center, press members and the security team clashed during the official protocol flow. After the reading of the National Anthem, journalists trying to leave the stage were blocked, and the party leader's guard physically intervened against a press member, drawing reactions in the hall. Following this incident, similar scenes were recorded at the next stop of the program.
SAME GUARD TARGETS PRESS AGAIN
After the tension at the group meeting, Özgür Özel continued his program on Hamamyolu Street, meeting with citizens and tradesmen. Here, press members following and filming Özel faced a second harsh intervention from the same security guard.
The same guard, who pushed and physically obstructed journalists, preventing them from doing their jobs, drew strong reactions from other press members and citizens at the scene. The fact that Eskişehir journalists were targeted twice in a row by the same person while performing their profession led to tense moments both in the hall and on the field.
