Ünlü's sharing of moments when she addressed women in the mosque on her social media account with the note "We gathered with our women and sent regards from our Mayor Alper Yeğin" drew attention.

Comments such as "What a diet, what a pickled cabbage" were made regarding the images in question, while the criticisms the opposition had previously directed based on similar situations were recalled. The recent development once again raised the question of whether the sensitivity regarding not engaging in politics in places of worship applies to all political actors.
