Abdullah Özdemir, the Istanbul Provincial Chairman of the AK Party, denied the claims regarding the removal of posters for the campaign launched in Istanbul with the slogan "It's going out of your life." Özdemir stated, "The perception created by those disturbed by the facts does not change the reality on the ground."
The AK Party Istanbul Provincial Presidency launched a campaign against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) with the slogan "It's going out of your life." The campaign posters, which included various criticisms of IMM from traffic to parking fees, were also supported by social media posts.
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel described the posters as "lies and slander," stating that they would file a criminal complaint against those responsible. Following Özel's harsh remarks, it was claimed that the posters had begun to be removed. AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman Abdullah Özdemir denied the statements, saying that the posters would not be removed.
"THE CLAIMS OF REMOVAL ARE DISINFORMATION"
Özdemir stated, "'The claims of removal' regarding our media activities related to 'It's going out of your life' are completely disinformation.
Our billboard work across different districts in Istanbul continues as planned. As of today, our visuals have also started to appear in new advertising spaces.
"THE PERCEPTION CREATED BY THOSE UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THE TRUTHS DOES NOT CHANGE THE SITUATION ON THE GROUND"
The perception created by those uncomfortable with the truths does not change the situation on the ground. We will continue to tell about the lost time, wasted money, and stolen lives of Istanbul.
'You can tape the cameras, but you cannot tape the eyes of Istanbulites.'
