President Erdogan met with Russian President Putin during his contacts at the 24th Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

President Erdogan expressed that they want to put Akkuyu into operation as soon as possible, while Putin said, "Despite all the difficulties, the relations between Russia and Turkey are developing and progressing step by step.
