While discussions about the resolution process continue, President Erdoğan made a noteworthy statement regarding 'mother tongue.' Erdoğan stated, "Millions of our citizens have been marginalized and alienated simply because of their beliefs, simply because they spoke their mother's language."

After the handshake between MHP General Chairman Devlet Bahçeli and DEM Party deputies, discussions about the new resolution process that have come to the agenda continue, while a striking statement came from President Erdoğan.

"BECAUSE THEY SPEAK THEIR MOTHER TONGUE..."

Speaking at the 109th Period District Governorship Course Lottery Ceremony at the Presidential Complex, Erdoğan stated, "Those who live their faith freely, just because of their faith, just because they speak their mother tongue, millions of our citizens have been marginalized. There is no place for a bureaucratic oligarchy that looks down on its citizens and sees them as a source of threat in our understanding of the state. The state is at the service of its nation."

"KURDS HAVE ALSO SEEN THAT THIS CANNOT BE SOLVED WITH WEAPONS"

Ahmet Türk, one of the important figures in Kurdish politics, recently responded to the question "Will there be a new resolution process?" by saying, "Expectations are for a dignified peace to be established, and we are pursuing a policy that embraces all citizens of Turkey, including Kurds. As you know, there is an understanding that marginalizes and disregards. We value the statements made. If you cannot internalize that Kurds are a people and have rights, you cannot solve anything. Secondly, in a period when the Middle East is in a fire circle, an inclusive policy is essential. We agree with that. A democratic constitution is necessary! This cannot be just in words. On one side, politicians need to prepare the society as well. You cannot solve it without preparing the society with its media. There needs to be a sincerity test. It is valuable to have an environment where politicians can converse with each other. Kurds have also begun to see that this issue cannot be solved with weapons. As a result of the right steps to be taken, there will be no problems," he said.
