President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed his condolences over the plane crash in a phone call with Abdulhamid Dbeibeh, the Prime Minister of the Libyan Government of National Unity.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke on the phone with Libyan Prime Minister Dibeybe. During the conversation, he conveyed his condolences for the Libyan military delegation who lost their lives in the plane crash in Haymana, Ankara.
Director of Communications Burhanettin Duran stated in a post on his social media account, "Our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had a phone conversation with the Prime Minister of the Libyan Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Dibeybe. In the meeting, our President expressed his sorrow and condolences for the loss of life resulting from the crash of the plane carrying Libyan Chief of General Staff General Mohammed Ali Al-Haddad and his companions," he said.
3-DAY MOURNING DECLARED IN LIBYA
The death of the military delegation in the Libyan military jet that crashed shortly after taking off from Ankara has plunged both Turkey and Libya into mourning. A 3-day mourning period has been declared in Libya, while in our country, teams were put on alert from the moment contact was lost with the jet, and they worked at the scene to reach the wreckage.
The search and rescue operation in the wreckage of the private jet carrying Libyan Chief of General Staff General Mohammed Ali Al-Haddad, along with 4 others and 3 crew members, intensified with the first light of the morning.
