The leader of the Great Unity Party, Mustafa Destici, clarified his statement "You will not hire those who are not married" in the Haberler.com studio. Destici said, "We do not have a thesis here that young people should not be hired. We used these expressions to draw attention to the issue. Everyone with good intentions understood this. We may have made a mistake. We also know how to take a step back from our mistake."
Mustafa Destici, the Chairman of the Great Unity Party, was a guest in the Haberler.com studio, where he answered questions from Haberler.com News Director Olgun Kızıltepe and presenter Melis Yaşar. In the program, Destici clarified his controversial statement, "You will not hire those who are not married."
"A FEW SENTENCES TAKEN OUT OF THE SPEECH"
Destici stated, "The government needs to take more concrete steps to encourage marriage and having children. We wanted to bring this issue to the agenda of Turkey by saying this. The statements that married people should be prioritized and unmarried people should not be hired are just a few sentences taken out of the entire speech."

Continuing his remarks on the subject, Destici said:
"We do not have a thesis that young people should not be hired here. This is also against the constitution. We know this. We used these expressions to draw attention to this issue. Everyone with good intentions understood this. There are those who called us to congratulate and thank us. But there are also ill-intentioned people who are trying to discredit us or diminish the value of our words or pit us against the youth. Those with bad intentions deliberately presented it this way."

We were not knowingly involved in a mistake. We may have made a mistake. We know how to take a step back from our mistake. The Great Unity Party is a youth movement. Therefore, our priority is youth; our future is youth."

Mustafa Destici, the Chairman of the Great Unity Party, had made striking statements at the Ordinary Provincial Congress of his party held at the Atatürk Cultural Center in the central Artuklu district of Mardin.
"YOU WILL NOT HIRE THOSE WHO ARE NOT MARRIED"
Stating that marriage should be encouraged in Turkey, Destici said the following:
"We should encourage our youth to have children. There are incentives, assistance for those who marry, interest-free loans, but we believe that more concrete steps need to be taken. For example, I will say something very radical. When hiring, priority should be given to those who are married. You will not hire those who are not married. Because this nation is ours, we need to sustain this nation. The population is the greatest wealth of a nation."
