President Erdoğan made statements at the Iftar Program with Martyr Families. Speaking about the Terror-Free Turkey process, Erdoğan stated, "In the Terror-Free Turkey initiative we started 16 months ago, significant success has been achieved in a short time."
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated, "Significant success has been achieved in a short time in the Terror-Free Turkey initiative that we started 16 months ago."
President Erdoğan met with the families of martyrs and veterans during the first iftar of Ramadan. Speaking at the Iftar Program with Martyr Families, Erdoğan delivered important messages.
"I WISH MERCY FROM ALLAH FOR OUR MARTYRS"
Erdoğan said, "I extend my love and respect to you for being with us in this blessed month of Ramadan. I sincerely congratulate you on your Ramadan month. May the month of Ramadan bring goodness to the entire Islamic world," and added, "I wish mercy from Allah for all our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our values. I also wish health to all our brothers who have become veterans on this blessed path."
"WE DID NOT COMPROMISE ON OUR FUTURE"
Erdoğan also stated, "To sacrifice oneself for the homeland, the nation, and faith is undoubtedly the greatest form of heroism. I want to say again from here that we are proud of you, the nation.
Our nation has gone through very tough paths to make these lands, where it has lived for a thousand years, its homeland. Many of our cities were plundered, our towns and villages were burned and destroyed. But no matter what they did, they could not expel us from these lands. They could not silence our calls to prayer, nor could they lower our flag. We gave our lives, we buried our children whom we hold dearer than our own lives. But we never compromised on our future.
The point we have reached in the defense industry is evident. We have moved from being 80% dependent on foreign sources to 80% domestic production. Inshallah, the next step will be aircraft carriers," he stated.
TERROR-FREE TURKEY MESSAGE
Speaking about the Terror-Free Turkey process, Erdoğan used the following expressions: "We have made significant progress in the Terror-Free Turkey efforts. Our commission concluded its work as of yesterday. We have also experienced positive developments in our neighbor Syria.
Last month, an agreement was reached on resolving the issue in northern Syria without shedding blood. The process of full integration has begun. We are acting meticulously with the awareness of carrying the trust of 86 million, especially our martyr families. We are determined to free our nation from this calamity that has burned the hearts of our people for half a century. You know that we will not tolerate any initiative that would disturb our martyr families and veterans."
