Mehmet Uçum, the chief advisor to the President, commented on the U.S. operation against Venezuela that resulted in the capture of President Nicolas Maduro, arguing that the seemingly existing international system has been completely dismantled in the face of imperialist crimes, and stated that there is no binding reality left in today's world other than naked power struggles.
President's Chief Advisor and Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Legal Policies Board Mehmet Uçum made striking evaluations regarding the U.S. operation against Venezuela that resulted in the capture of President Nicolas Maduro.
"ONCE AGAIN REVEALED THAT INTERNATIONAL LAW, INSTITUTIONS, AND THE UN HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY NULLIFIED"
In his evaluation shared on social media, Uçum stated that the abduction of Maduro once again demonstrated that international law, international institutions, and the United Nations have been effectively sidelined. Uçum argued that the seemingly existing international system has been completely dismantled in the face of imperialist crimes, and noted that there is no binding reality left in today's world other than naked power struggles.
Uçum's evaluation titled "Crime Committed Against Maduro" is as follows:
"1- The Maduro incident is one of the brutal examples showing that imperialist aggressions can also be carried out through the methods of rogue states.
2- The Maduro incident is a criminal act that once again reveals that international law, international institutions, and the UN have been completely nullified. In other words, it has been understood once again that the seemingly existing international system has been completely dismantled by imperialist crimes.
"SHOWED THAT THERE IS NO OPTION OTHER THAN POWER-BASED STRUGGLE AGAINST IMPERIALIST AGGRESSION"
3- The Maduro incident is a striking example that shows there is no reality other than naked power struggles today, that there are no rules or institutions to limit aggressive powers, and that there is no option other than power-based struggle against imperialist aggression.
4- The Maduro incident has once again shown the world that there is no other possibility of existence than limiting power with power and resisting power with power, regardless of the platform in today's world.
"NEED TO STRENGTHEN ANTI-IMPERIALIST COOPERATION OF NATIONAL STATES"
5- The Maduro incident has once again proven that the entire aim of imperialist aggression is to dominate the world's energy and all resources. There is an inhumane imperialist mentality that legitimizes all kinds of lawlessness, ruthlessness, and immorality to achieve this goal. Evaluating all these imperialist aggressions with the pretense of rights and freedoms is nothing but serving the ideological servitude of imperialism.
6- National states are under ontological threat in many aspects. With the Maduro incident, the threat of 'imperialist rogue states' has visibly been added. Today, it is necessary to elevate the anti-imperialist struggle more than ever and to strengthen the anti-imperialist cooperation of national states. There is no other option left."
