A 5-year-old child in Akkonak village, located in the Çay district of Afyonkarahisar, was attacked by a donkey while playing in the garden of his home. The little boy was saved by the intervention of his sibling, who noticed the incident.
A 5-year-old girl playing in her garden in Afyonkarahisar narrowly escaped death after being attacked by a donkey, an incident that was captured moment by moment by security cameras. The donkey, which bit the small child in different parts of her body and then kicked her, has been quarantined.
The incident occurred in the village of Akkonak, connected to the Çay district. According to the information obtained, the child named F.D.A., 5 years old, was attacked by a donkey while playing in her garden at home. In the incident reflected in the security cameras, the donkey first kicked the child, causing her to fall to the ground, and then bit her. Hearing her sister's cries for help, the child's brother intervened with a stick and drove the donkey away. After the incident, the small child, who was injured from bites and kicks on different parts of her body, was taken to the hospital by her family for treatment.
THE DONKEY HAD PREVIOUS INCIDENTS Speaking to İhlas News Agency (IHA) about the horrifying incident, the child's father, Tolga Aktaş, expressed that they experienced great fear and said: "While my wife and I were throwing coal into the heating boiler, our child was playing in front of the door. The donkey came and attacked and bit her. My daughter's brother saw the incident and intervened with a stick, driving the donkey away. We heard the screams and went out to see that the donkey had bitten my daughter's back. We immediately took her to the hospital. After getting treatment for my daughter, we filed a complaint with the police. We know that the donkey belongs to our neighbor, but our neighbor said, 'I gave it to someone else.' The other person he gave it to said they didn't take it. The donkey had previous incidents, having bitten a few people and even kicked a relative of ours in the foot and ravaged their barley. Such a thing had not happened before, but the donkey has a history of incidents. The donkey is still roaming around the village and has not been quarantined."
QUARANTINED After the incident, the teams from the Çay District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry took action and managed to find the donkey roaming around the village after a few hours of searching and placed it in quarantine.
