"WE ARE NOT RAISING OUR VOICE AGAINST THE CRUEL MASSACRE"
Sağlam stated that he aims to set an example for society and motivate people to take action, saying, "We are witnessing such a large-scale massacre, such a cruel massacre as humanity, and we are not raising our voices at all. To raise a voice against this, to mobilize humanity, I am performing these acts of performance. The piece of wood in my hand represents the insensitivity of those who hear but choose to ignore, remaining silent like a piece of wood. It is also a piece that is used in its literal sense to burn. Humanity will burn and turn to ash in hell like a piece of wood. We must say 'stop' to this."
"IT WAS DONE TO MAKE NOISE"
All of humanity must unite and stop this war in Gaza. I brought and exhibited the works of my students here. The tent figure is my work. The tent figure represents the makeshift tents made of cloth in Gaza. On the other hand, the painting I made on a transparent foil was created to raise awareness about the unjust imprisonment of Doctor Hüsam and the continued imprisonment of Rümeysa in America, as well as to make a statement about the reclamation of occupied lands by Muslims," he said.
