Public bridges, highways, and public transportation in three metropolitan cities are free as part of the Eid al-Adha holiday. The application will start on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 and continue until midnight on May 30.

Due to Eid al-Adha, public bridges, highways, and public transportation services are free of charge.

Under the decision, millions of citizens can use certain road and rail system lines for free during the specified dates.

BRIDGES AND HIGHWAYS FREE UNTIL MAY 30

Starting at 00:00 on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, highways under the responsibility of the General Directorate of Highways, excluding build-operate-transfer projects, are free. Additionally, the July 15 Martyrs Bridge and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge are included in the free passage application. The free passage application will continue until 24:00 on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT IS ALSO FREE

During the holiday, some rail systems and municipal public transportation vehicles will also provide free service. Free transportation will be applied on the following lines from 00:00 on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, until 24:00 on Saturday, May 30, 2026:
