Köfteci Yusuf implemented a pet ban in all of its branches as of September, which it started in its branches in Bursa in July. The decision, based on Law No. 5996, drew reactions on social media, while some users supported the measure for hygiene reasons.
The famous restaurant chain Köfteci Yusuf, which came to the agenda with its inclusion in the "List of Imitated and Adulterated Foods" announced by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in October, has now become a topic of discussion due to its pet ban.
FIRST BURSA, NOW ALL BRANCHES
The restaurant chain banned the entry of pets into its establishments with an application it started in July at its branches in Bursa. In the announcements posted at the restaurant entrances, it was reminded of the Veterinary Services, Plant Health, Food and Feed Law No. 5996, stating that pets are not allowed in establishments where food is sold. As of September, this application was not limited to Bursa, but became valid in all branches of Köfteci Yusuf.
CREATED DEBATE ON SOCIAL MEDIA
The decision sparked two different opinions on social media. While a large portion of animal lovers reacted to the ban, some users supported the application for hygiene reasons.
