The budget discussions continue in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. During the session, HÜDA PAR Deputy Chairman, Party Spokesperson, and Batman MP Serkan Ramanlı made evaluations regarding the agenda and made a striking call regarding Syria. Ramanlı emphasized in his speech at the Assembly that Syria should never be allowed to be occupied and fragmented in line with Zionist and imperialist projects. "THE BURDEN ON LOW-INCOME PEOPLE MUST BE LIGHTENED"At the beginning of his speech in the Assembly, Ramanlı referred to the budget. Stating that it is not possible to evaluate the budget in 5 minutes, Ramanlı said: "We are discussing Turkey's 2025 budget. It is certainly not possible to evaluate the budget in detail in 5 minutes. However, I would like to point out that evaluating the budget solely with numbers would miss the essence of the issue. Tax justice must be established for the reconstruction of social justice. The budget must be freed from the spiral of debt and interest. We do not find it right to collect taxes at the same rate from both the poor and the rich through indirect taxes, and for a significant portion of the national income to go to interest payments. The burden on our low-income citizens must be lightened; less tax should be collected from those who earn less, and more tax from those who earn more." CALL FOR A NEW CONSTITUTIONStating that Turkey is at the dawn of its second century, Ramanlı evaluated the first century as a lost century. Calling for a new constitution, Ramanlı used the following expressions: "We are at the dawn of Turkey's second century. Unfortunately, the century that passed with military coups and traumas has been a lost century. We do not want the next century to be a lost century as well. We must build our future. We must ensure justice in income distribution. We must protect the family, which is our last stronghold. We must empower our youth, who are our future, both materially and spiritually. We must know that the way to do this is to restructure the system in accordance with our civilizational values and to solve our chronic problems based on rights and justice. This is only possible by creating a fair, domestic, and civilian constitution that guarantees fundamental rights and freedoms without imposing ideologies and free from all kinds of tutelage. We have more than enough strength to create a new constitution under this roof of the Assembly. Almost everyone talks about Kurdish and Turkish brotherhood at every opportunity, but for some reason, no one mentions the reason and foundation of this brotherhood. We express clearly from here that this foundation is our noble Islam, which is our strongest and greatest common denominator. A lot of literature has been made about brotherhood. Let us now fulfill the rights of this brotherhood and establish its law. Global Zionism and imperialism, which benefit from the deterioration of our brotherhood and the disintegration of our unity, are rubbing their hands with great enthusiasm to occupy our lands." "THERE SHOULD BE NO PERMISSION FOR THE FRAGMENTATION OF SYRIA"Stating that genocide has been ongoing in Gaza for over a year, Ramanlı expressed that instead of taking concrete steps against the Zionists as the Islamic world, it has only been limited to condemning the genocide. Ramanlı continued his speech as follows: "Empowered by this, the Zionists are attacking Lebanon after Gaza, and now Syria. Syria should never be allowed to be occupied and fragmented in line with Zionist and imperialist projects. Under no circumstances should a formula that serves the interests of the Zionists in the region be allowed. On the contrary, we must strive to end the occupation in both Syria and Palestine, and we must succeed in being not only the voice of the oppressed but also their arm and wing. Our Syrian brothers have finally freed themselves from the tyrant Assad and Baath oppression, even at a heavy cost. As it has been until now, our duty from now on is to protect the rights and laws of all the people of Syria, as much as the Arabs, as much as the Kurds, as much as the Sunnis, as much as the Alawites, as much as the Muslims, and as much as the non-Muslims. Our responsibility is to contribute to the establishment of a just, secure, and peaceful Syria. On this occasion, we thank our Lord for allowing us to share in the joy of the Syrian people, whose pain we have shared for more than 10 years."
