Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı, who claimed today that a trustee would be appointed to the party regarding the allegations of irregularities at the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress, was detained on charges of "publicly disseminating misleading information." Kütahyalı was caught while driving on the TEM Highway in Bolu.
"A trustee will be appointed to the CHP" statements led to an investigation against Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı for the crime of "publicly disseminating misleading information." He has been taken into custody.
Journalist Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı claimed in a post on his social media account that a trustee would be appointed to the party after the first hearing regarding the allegations of irregularities at the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress, which will be held tomorrow at the 42nd Civil Court of First Instance.
STATEMENTS CAME IN QUICK SUCCESSION
Following Kütahyalı's claim, a series of statements were made. The Disinformation Combat Center stated that the allegations were merely manipulations.
MINISTER TUNÇ: AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED
Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç stated that the trustee claim was not true and announced that an investigation had been initiated regarding the false posts. The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that an ex officio investigation had been launched against Kütahyalı for the crime of "publicly disseminating misleading information." Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı, who stirred up the situation with his claim that a trustee would be appointed to the CHP, was taken into custody today as part of the investigation initiated for "publicly disseminating misleading information."
SHARP DECLINE IN ISTANBUL STOCK EXCHANGE
Following Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı's claim, a collapse occurred in the futures market of the Istanbul Stock Exchange. In the Istanbul Stock Exchange, where the continuous trading session ended at 18:00, the futures markets experienced a sharp decline. Significant losses occurred in the XU030D1 index.
WHO IS RASIM OZAN KÜTAHYALI?
Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı was born on April 30, 1981, in İzmir. After graduating from İzmir 60th Year Anatolian High School, Kütahyalı was accepted into the Faculty of Law at Istanbul Bilgi University. Although he registered and started studying there, he left the school in his second year.
He has worked as a writer for the Taraf newspaper for a period. Before his column writing, he worked as a copywriter and casting director at Plato Film. Since December 2009, he has been a commentator on the Ters Cephe program.
Kütahyalı is currently a commentator on the Beyaz Futbol program on Beyaz TV. He has two daughters from his marriage to Nagehan Alçı.
