In the Acıpayam district of Denizli, one of the two workers trapped in a cave-in at a chrome mine was rescued 25 hours later. It was reported that the workers had not been extracted due to ongoing landslides in the area. Speaking on the matter, the district governor Ramazan Cankaloğlu stated, "There is no deterioration in their health."

Yesterday at 3:30 PM, a collapse occurred in the chrome mine operated by the Kromtaş company in the Karaismailler neighborhood of Acıpayam district in Denizli. In the collapse, which happened for an undetermined reason 20 meters inside the entrance of the mine, Beyağaçlı Hüseyin Turan and Ömer Duran, who resides in the village where the mine is located, were trapped.

For now, one of our friends is buried up to his knees, and the other is buried up to his waist. When we remove the rock on one friend's leg, we will also be able to extract the other by removing the materials in front of him." he stated.
