CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır, evaluating the transition of Mersin Deputy Hasan Ufuk Çakır, who resigned from CHP to the AK Party, said, "I begged Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu. After being referred to the Party Assembly (PM) with a definite expulsion request, Mersin Deputy Hasan Ufuk Çakır resigned from the CHP and joined the AK Party yesterday.
HE SALUTED PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN
The badge was presented to Çakır by President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. In his speech after receiving the badge, Çakır saluted President Erdoğan by saying, "There are two commanders-in-chief; one is Gazi Mustafa Kemal Pasha and the other is the commander-in-chief of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan."

CHP Mersin Deputy and Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır reacted to Çakır's party switch. Başarır stated: "I begged Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu. I said, 'Please don't do this.' He was unwanted, yet he was nominated. Now we see the situation. It is an embarrassing picture. There was always our brother who fought from youth in the sixth place.
