The President of Communications Burhanettin Duran condemned the death penalty law approved by the Israeli Parliament, which is intended to be applied only to Palestinians, stating, "This step, which represents a new dimension of systematic oppression and violence against the Palestinian people, reveals the extent to which the policies of occupation have reached."

The President of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, made a statement regarding the death penalty law accepted by the Israeli Parliament, which is intended to be applied only to Palestinians.

Duran stated in a post on his social media account that he condemned and denounced the law targeting Palestinians.

“IT IS A CLEAR EXAMPLE OF OPPRESSION TRYING TO LEGITIMIZE THE COLLECTIVE PUNISHMENT OF A PEOPLE”

Communications President Duran noted: “This so-called law, which we see as an extension of genocides against innocent people, is a clear example of oppression that disregards the rule of law, deepens discrimination and oppression, and tries to legitimize the collective punishment of a people. This step, which has given a new dimension to the systematic oppression and violence against the Palestinian people, reveals the point to which the policies of occupation have reached. This sick understanding shaped by racist and discriminatory practices has no place in law or in human values.

“IT IS AN INEVITABLE NECESSITY FOR THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY TO TAKE CONCRETE STEPS”

The international community must not remain silent in the face of this blatant lawlessness; it is an inevitable necessity to take concrete steps in the name of justice, human rights, and universal values. Under the leadership of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkey will continue to stand by the oppressed and against the oppressor, as it always has. We know that defending the just cause of our Palestinian brothers is a humanitarian responsibility."
