UNIONS HAVE POINTED TO KADIKÖY FOR MAY 1

DİSK, KESK, TMMOB, and TTB announced that May 1 would be celebrated this year in Kadıköy Square in Istanbul. CHP leader Özgür Özel also stated regarding the issue, "Unless there is a last-minute change, I will be in Kadıköy with DİSK, KESK, TMMOB, and TTB. But as CHP, we will also participate in the TÜRK-İŞ rally. If the unions had said 'Taksim', we would have said 'Taksim' too. May 1, Labor and Solidarity Day, is Labor Day. It would not be right for a political party to take the role of labor unions. Therefore, we said 'Kadıköy'."
