Iran, officially responding to the 15-point proposal from the United States, demanded that "concrete conditions should be established to ensure that war does not happen again, and assassinations should be stopped."
A formal response has come from Tehran regarding the 15-point ceasefire plan presented by the United States to Iran. An official source speaking to the Tasnim News Agency stated that Iran's response was conveyed through intermediaries last night. Iran demanded that attacks be completely halted and concrete guarantees be provided that the war would not recur as a prerequisite for the ceasefire.
CONDITION FOR ENDING THE WAR ON ALL FRONTS
Among the conditions presented by Iran were the guarantee of war reparations and the cessation of war not only between the two countries but in all conflict areas in the region. The Tehran administration emphasized that this process should also include resistance groups.
RIGHT OVER THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ
The official source stated that Iran's sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz is "natural and legal," expressing that the recognition of this right is an important assurance regarding the implementation of the other party's commitments.
"NEGOTIATION CLAIM IS A DECEPTION"
The Iranian official reacted strongly to the U.S. negotiation rhetoric. The source claimed that Washington is trying to mislead the international public by presenting a facade of peace, asserting that this process aims to control oil prices and buy time for possible new military preparations.
EMPHASIS ON INSECURITY
The Iranian side expressed serious doubts about the U.S. intentions, recalling that attacks had begun even while negotiations were ongoing in the past. As tensions continue in the region, how diplomatic contacts between the parties will progress remains a matter of curiosity.
The following headings are included in the 15-point draft agreement proposed by the U.S.:
- The automatic removal of the threat of re-imposing sanctions
- The complete elimination of Iran's current nuclear capacity
- Iran's commitment that it "will never seek nuclear weapons"
- The prohibition of any nuclear enrichment activities on Iranian soil
- The delivery of enriched uranium to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)
- The decommissioning and destruction of nuclear facilities in Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow
- Full access permission to all information for the IAEA
- Iran's abandonment of its "proxy forces" strategy
- Cutting off funding and arms support to militia groups in the region
- Keeping the Strait of Hormuz open
- Postponing the decision regarding the ballistic missile program
- Using ballistic missiles solely for defensive purposes
- Removing all sanctions against Iran
- Supporting the development of the civilian nuclear program in Bushehr
- The automatic cancellation of the threat of reapplying sanctions
