"Rocket attack that alarmed Israel on New Year's Eve."

Minutes before 2025, two rockets were launched from the center of the Gaza Strip towards Israel. An Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson stated that one of the rockets was intercepted by the Iron Dome system, while the other fell in an open area.

NO DAMAGE OR CASUALTIES

It was reported that there were no damages or casualties due to the attack that triggered alarms in the western Negev region.

ALARM SOUNDED IN THE REGION

The Israel Defense Forces spokesperson said regarding the matter: "At 00:00, after the alarms were activated in the western Negev region, two launches were detected from the center of the Gaza Strip. One rocket was successfully intercepted, while the other fell in an open area."

ISRAEL HELD 198 PALESTINIAN BODIES IN 2024

Meanwhile, a written statement from the "National Initiative for the Return of Martyrs' Bodies" in Palestine stated, "The Israeli administration is holding the bodies of 198 documented martyrs throughout the year 2024."

The statement noted that this number constitutes approximately one-third of the 641 bodies documented by the Initiative, which are held in a secret graveyard known as the "Number Cemetery" and in morgues.
