CHP Chairman Özgür Özel harshly criticized the government and recent political developments in his speech at the party's parliamentary group meeting. Arguing that the CHP has been "effectively shut down," Özel made historical references and delivered a message of determination, saying, "We will either find a way or make a way."

Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel took the podium at his party's group meeting in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM). Making quite harsh evaluations regarding the latest developments in the political agenda, Özel's focus was on the process the CHP is going through.

"IT IS NOW EFFECTIVELY CLOSED"

Starting his speech by touching upon the history of the Republican People's Party, Özgür Özel recalled the processes experienced in the past. Referring to the interruption the party suffered during the September 12 period, Özel said, "The party founded on September 9, 1923, was closed by the coup plotters. On September 9, 1992, Erol Tuncer and his friends reopened it. Now, with a palace coup, the party has been effectively closed."

"WE WILL EITHER FIND A WAY OR MAKE A WAY"

In the final part of his speech, Özgür Özel used statements that could be perceived as a signal of a new party, emphasizing that they will not give up the struggle at any cost. Reiterating their goals for power, Özel said, "We will take this party one way or another, open it again, and together we will make this party the ruling power! We will either find a way or make a way!"
