Aydın Governor Yakup Canbolat, who made a statement regarding the forest fire that broke out in Aydın, stated that the fire was caused by an electrical transformer. Canbolat announced that three people were hospitalized due to smoke inhalation and explained that the citizens evacuated from rural neighborhoods were placed in the dormitories of the Credit and Dormitories Institution (KYK) in Aydın.

The forest fire that broke out in the Bademli neighborhood of Aydın's Efeler district and rapidly grew caused moments of fear in the area. While teams intervened in the fire, Governor Yakup Canbolat made statements regarding the forest fire in Efeler.
"IT STARTED FROM THE ELECTRIC TRANSFORMER"
Canbolat stated that citizens were evacuated in the Bademli neighborhood and that precautions were taken in the Böcek neighborhood. Governor Canbolat expressed that, according to initial findings, the fire started due to the explosion of an electric transformer, saying, "We kindly ask our citizens to strictly adhere to the decisions we have made regarding the ban. Because there is wind, there is heat. There is no reason for the fire not to break out. A fire occurs at the slightest incident. Our teams have been dispatched to the area from the very beginning. Our intervention continues. As of now, the fire is spreading rapidly, and we are trying to bring it under control. For now, we cannot say that we have brought the fire under control," he said.
3 PEOPLE HOSPITALIZED
Emphasizing that they evacuated citizens in the Bademli neighborhood, Canbolat said, "We have also taken the necessary precautions in the Böcek neighborhood. So far, 3 people have been affected by smoke, but there is no problem with their general health condition," he stated.
SUPPLEMENTARY SUPPORT REQUESTED FROM THE REGION
Canbolat stated that 9 helicopters and 5 planes intervened from the air, while 6 water tankers, 5 trailers, 8 vehicles, 5 bulldozers, 2 all-terrain vehicles, 1 water cannon, 35 fire trucks, and hundreds of personnel intervened from the ground, saying, "We are trying to contain it by evening, we are trying to prevent the fire from spreading. Our teams are trying to do what is necessary. All resources of the Muğla Forest Directorate have been mobilized to the region. Additionally, reinforcement forces have been requested from our neighboring provinces, İzmir, Muğla, and Denizli," he said.
