SCHOOLS IN ANKARA CLOSED TOMORROW
Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin stated in a social media post that education has been suspended due to the expected snowfall. In his statement, Şahin said: "According to the latest meteorological assessments; the snowfall expected to start in our province tomorrow (Friday) from the early hours is expected to be effective until noon, leaving a snow cover of up to 15 cm in some places, and also due to strong winds and storms (40 to 60 km/h), in order to prevent our children from being affected by the adverse conditions that may occur and to avoid any grievances, education in all private and public educational institutions and courses affiliated with our Governorship has been suspended for 1 day across the province."
Women public servants with children aged 10 and under, as well as pregnant and disabled public servants, will be considered on administrative leave. This is announced to the public.
YELLOW CODE WARNING FROM METEOROLOGY FOR 25 CITIES
