The Ministry of Trade has determined that a children's sweatshirt sold at Beşiktaş Club's official store, Kartal Yuvası, does not comply with safety standards. It has been decided to recall the product named 'Beşiktaş Jr Hooded Sweatshirt' from the market and to halt its sale.
The Ministry of Trade has determined that a children's sweatshirt sold at the official store of Beşiktaş Club, Kartal Yuvası, does not comply with safety standards as part of its inspections on products aimed at children. It was decided to withdraw the product named "Beşiktaş Jr Hooded Sweatshirt" from the market and to halt its sale.
The ministry stated in a statement that the product violates Article 3.2.1 of the TS EN 14682 standard applicable to children's clothing. This article mandates that there should be no functional or decorative drawstrings in the hood, chest, or neck area of clothing intended for young children.
PRODUCT SOLD OUT
It was observed that the sweatshirt, which was offered for sale in the children's clothing category at Kartal Yuvası for 1,199 TL and has a barcode number of 8698520840811, is marked as "All sold out" in the online store. Nevertheless, the Ministry of Trade has implemented the decision to withdraw the product from the market.
SIMILAR ACTIONS HAD BEEN TAKEN BEFORE
The Ministry of Trade had previously decided to withdraw children's clothing items, namely "Retro Hooded Sweat" sold at Trabzonspor's TS Club store and "D. Blue Sweat Shirt" sold at MKE Ankaragücü Store, due to safety concerns.
