Seçil Erzan is appearing in court today.

It is claimed that Seçil Erzan, a former branch manager of a private bank, defrauded more than 30 people, including well-known football players such as Arda Turan, Fernando Muslera, Emre Belözoğlu, and Selçuk İnan, out of approximately 25 million dollars and 7 million 384 thousand lira by stating that it is a highly profitable and reliable fund, and four new indictments have been prepared against her.

APPEARING IN COURT IN 4 SEPARATE CASES

With the non-merger of the four separate indictments with the main case file, Seçil Erzan's trial will begin today at the Istanbul 41st Heavy Penal Court in the context of four separate cases.

"SHE DELIVERED 3 MILLION DOLLARS"

On the other hand, details of the indictment in which Atilla Baltaş is the complainant and Seçil Erzan is the suspect have been reached. In the indictment prepared by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it is stated that suspect Erzan deceived complainant Baltaş by saying that she would invest in the bank, convinced him to invest money in the fund, received a total of 3 million dollars, and then provided him with fake documents, thus defrauding the complainant.

"YOU USED MY INNOCENT AND PURE LOVE"

The correspondence between Erzan and Baltaş was also included in the indictment. According to the indictment, Baltaş wrote the following to Erzan:

"Even yesterday, under what conditions I bring the money to you. How could I do this to you, believing in you, with all these people? You used my innocent and pure love, shame on you. I took from all the people because I loved you and gave it to you. You are making me look like a fool, you say abroad, until yesterday I was here, you said you were at your bank, today you say the transactions are somewhere else."

"SHE TRIED TO SMUGGLE ME ABROAD WITH THE MONEY"

Seçil Erzan, in her statement to the prosecutor's office, claimed that Baltaş took back the money he gave her with exorbitant interest.

Erzan stated:

"I paid him 1 million dollars, which is far above the money he gave me. Also, I definitely did not take money from him under the name of the fund; I bought it exactly with interest because I had to pay the people I convinced under the name of the fund. He has definitely victimized me. Additionally, in recent days, he forced me to write documents by putting pressure on me at the bank. He took promissory notes from me stating that I owed a certain amount at the bank. None of the documents I gave him reflect the truth. He had bought a plane ticket to kidnap me to Şırnak, or rather, he forced me to get a plane ticket. At that time, I had also collected money from the complainants. He wanted to smuggle me abroad with that money."

UP TO 13 YEARS IN PRISON REQUESTED

In the prepared indictment, it was requested that Seçil Erzan be sentenced to a total of 4 to 13 years in prison for the crimes of "qualified fraud" and "forgery of private documents."

In the Seçil Erzan case, a criminal complaint was filed against journalist Lube Ayar.

SHE WAS REMOVED FROM THE COURTROOM

During the hearing held on September 20, some complainants' lawyer Rezan Epözdemir requested that a criminal complaint be filed against journalist Lube Ayar for sharing statements reflected in the court minutes incorrectly via the social media platform X, and Ayar, who was present in the courtroom, reacted to this situation.

Following the incident, the panel decided to remove Ayar from the courtroom.

REQUEST FOR CRIMINAL COMPLAINT FROM THE COMPLAINANT'S LAWYER

During the incident, Lube Ayar pointed his finger at the complainant footballers' lawyer Rezan Epözdemir and said, "You will see, just wait," and upon this, Epözdemir reacted to the situation and requested that a criminal complaint be filed against Ayar at the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The public prosecutor consulted agreed to the request.

CRIMINAL COMPLAINT AGAINST AYAR

The court panel, evaluating the request, decided to file a criminal complaint against Ayar to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office by writing a letter for "attempting to threaten and influence fair trial."
