Beşiktaş President Serdal Adalı made statements regarding current issues and announced a major project. In his statement, Adalı said, "We are adding 5 more acres to our Dikilitaş land and obtaining a building permit to develop a project. Emlak Konut will manage the project on this land. We also want Ziraat Bankası to be a partner. After deducting the costs from this project, we anticipate generating an income between 150-200 million euros."
Beşiktaş President Serdal Adalı made statements at a press conference held at Tüpraş Stadium.
''NOT A PLACE SUITABLE FOR BEŞİKTAŞ''
Speaking about the black-and-white team's fourth-place finish in the season, Adalı said, "We finished the season in fourth place with the Bodrumspor match. The ranking we have seen for the last four seasons is not a place suitable for Beşiktaş. For four seasons, we have seen Beşiktaş throwing in the towel as early as November or December. All our efforts are to change this trend, it is for championships." he stated.
"WE EXPECT TO GENERATE 150-200 MILLION EUROS IN REVENUE"
Speaking about the projects to be undertaken, Adalı said, "We are working on a project by adding 5 more acres to our 15-acre land in Dikilitaş, which is completely idle and where it is not possible to do anything due to the lack of zoning permission, to obtain zoning permission. Emlak Konut will carry out the project on this land. We also want Ziraat Bankası to be a partner. We anticipate that we will generate between 150-200 million euros in revenue after deducting the costs from this project. This money will be used to pay off debts to banks, and subsequently, any interest-bearing debts of Beşiktaş will be settled. As of today, these interest debts are around 125 million dollars. After we settle these debts, we will sit down and put the remaining titles on the table. Selling is out of the question. We have not disposed of Beşiktaş's assets." he said.
Continuing his remarks, Adalı stated, "Our eternal rivals have achieved this economic level by implementing these regulations and projects. They reflected the economic level they reached in their squads. They have reached a point where they can make significant transfers. We have fallen behind, we have stagnated. These squads are not built with income from football, my friends."
