Beşiktaş President Serdal Adalı, in response to a question about Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray during a press conference held for new transfers, said, "The gap between us cannot be measured by football teams! It is measured by the communities! We have never been even half a centimeter behind that duo! The biggest community in Turkey is Beşiktaş."

Beşiktaş President Serdal Adalı gave very talked-about answers to questions regarding their eternal rivals Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray at the signing ceremony for new transfers Keny Arroyo and Elan Ricardo.
"BEŞİKTAŞ IS BIGGER THAN THEM"
Responding to the question, "The Super League is heading towards two teams. How will Beşiktaş close this gap?" Serdal Adalı said, "I do not agree. We have had a football team that has not been performing well for three seasons. The gap cannot be measured by the football team! It is measured by the communities! We have never been even half a cm behind that duo! The biggest community in Turkey is Beşiktaş. The team may perform poorly or we may not become champions... This does not take away from Beşiktaş's greatness. There are projects being discussed to reduce it to two giants, but Beşiktaş does not lose even the slightest bit of its greatness in two seasons," he said.
"WE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN THEIR DISPUTE"
Regarding the tension between Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray, Adalı stated, "We are not interested in the disputes between Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray. This is not our issue," he said.
"50-100s ARE NOT LOGICAL"
Responding to a question about the high transfer expenditures of their eternal rivals, the Beşiktaş President said, "In rival teams, 50-100s (transfer expenditures) are flying around. I do not believe they are logical figures," he stated.
"EITHER THE MINISTER OR THE STATE WILL INTERVENE"
Touching on the referee discussions in Turkish football, Serdal Adalı said, "We did not want to intervene in the referee issue. There is a referee problem in Turkey. I brought up the issue of foreign referees in 2010 while looking at the football branch, but I received a serious backlash. At this point, it seems that every club agrees on foreign referees. But I do not know how sustainable this is. We need to solve this problem with Turkish referees in the end. The Turkish League is not just about two teams! With the full participation of the clubs, the state should now intervene in this matter. It has gotten out of hand! Every minute our rights are violated, we will come out and demand our rights. Somehow, our state should intervene in this madness. There may be foreign referees temporarily, but if we cannot solve the problem arising from referees in a huge Turkey, then there is another problem there. There are issues in TFF and MHK! If they cannot solve this, either the Minister of Sports or our state will intervene! Their trajectory is not good at all!"
