Beşiktaş Club President Serdal Adalı stated that they requested a foreign VAR before the Galatasaray derby, saying, "Galatasaray also has a request for a foreign VAR. I wish they had supported us when we requested it two months ago, so we wouldn't have to have these discussions."
Beşiktaş Club President Serdal Adalı made statements to the press before the draw for the quarter and semi-finals of the Ziraat Turkey Cup. Adalı stated that they have not received a response regarding their application to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) about the release of corridor recordings following the Galatasaray derby in the Super League.
'THEY ARE PLAYING DEAD'
Expressing that there has been no response from the federation to their calls, Serdal Adalı said, "There was no response to our previous applications either. They are playing dead. The Portuguese in VAR are going to appear on a program on TRT. I find these matters funny. The head of the MHK should explain. We requested the recordings from the corridor cameras. We didn't ask for anything difficult. To me, this is a guilty psychology. Let's see what they will say. The camera footage from the corridors we requested," he said.
'THERE IS NO POSSIBILITY OF SUCCESS WITH THE CURRENT STRUCTURE AND PRESIDENT'
Continuing to criticize the current Central Referee Board (MHK) administration, Serdal Adalı added: "There is no possibility of success with the current structure and president of the MHK. The MHK President may be a very good person, but he cannot do this job. I both understand and find unnecessary İbrahim President's (Hacıosmanoğlu) insistence on this matter. Every president supports the managers in their team, but this is not such a thing. This harms the federation and Turkish football. If we cannot find and train thirty referees in a country of eighty million, shame on us."
'GALATASARAY ALSO HAD A REQUEST'
Noting that Galatasaray also had a foreign VAR request before the derby, Adalı said, "Galatasaray also had a foreign VAR request. I wish they had supported us when we requested it two months ago, so we wouldn't have to make these statements. Clubs bring up certain issues when they are at risk of being harmed." he stated.
