This team had to change. We had to bring in quality, ambitious players who feel a sense of belonging to the positions they play, and most importantly, players whose personal goals are not yet fulfilled, to replace those players we thought could not take us to our targets. In this direction, we parted ways with exactly 25 players at the beginning of this season. We have agreed with exactly 12 new players who we believe meet the criteria we mentioned." he said.
'WE HAD LONG NEGOTIATIONS' Adalı emphasized that they had difficulties sending players away, which caused delays in new transfers, saying, "Some of them didn't care about not getting playing time. They had a very comfortable life in Istanbul with Beşiktaş's money. In other words, if we left them alone, they would have been even more satisfied. Therefore, we offered him a 1-year guaranteed contract and a salary that would comply with our conditions. However, the player asked us for a minimum 2-year contract and a significantly high salary. Although he was a player whose form had improved during our period, his demands were very, very high for us. Therefore, we decided to part ways. Instead, we brought in Jurasek, a 25-year-old player who plays for the Czech national team and was transferred by Benfica for 14 million euros just 2 years ago, for much less than the salary Masuaku demanded. We did not pay any rental fee to his club. There is no mandatory purchase option either. We have an option right that is completely dependent on our preference. However, one transfer was not enough for this position, and we also acquired a second one. We added Rıdvan to our squad as well. We will ask one by one which factors will be taken into account in the penalty to be given. We do not expect it, but we have already prepared our defense for a possible wrong decision. Additionally, I find it hard to understand how the VAR referee got involved in this situation, especially in this position. The VAR referee, who should have been involved in different situations during the match, suddenly appeared in a situation that had already been closed and where the necessary cards were shown by the main referee.
