The incident occurred at night in the couple's home. 28-year-old Dinesh Kumar, who works in the pharmaceutical industry, woke up with a sudden burning sensation on his chest and face. When he opened his eyes, his wife was standing over him and pouring hot oil from a pot onto him. When the young man tried to scream, he was threatened by his wife, saying, "If you scream, I will pour more."

After pouring hot oil, the woman took it a step further and sprinkled red pepper on Kumar's burn wounds. This intervention made the man's pain even more unbearable. It was learned that the couple's 4-year-old daughter was also at home during the incident.
NEIGHBORS RUSHED TO HELP
When Kumar's painful screams echoed in the building, neighbors came to the scene. However, they could not intervene immediately because the door was locked from the inside. When the door was opened, the unfortunate man was writhing in pain on the floor, while his wife was trying to hide inside the house.
“I WILL TAKE YOU TO THE HOSPITAL” AND TRIED TO ESCAPE
Immediately after the incident, the suspect woman wanted to leave the house under the pretext of taking her husband to the hospital. However, the people around approached this situation with suspicion. The landlord, unsure of the woman's intentions, took Kumar himself to the nearest hospital. In the initial intervention, severe burns were detected on Kumar's chest, face, and arms.

In his statement to the police, Kumar said that he had experienced similar pressures from his wife before and that their relationship had deteriorated in recent years. He also stated that he was reported to women's rights organizations by his wife two years ago, and that process ended with mutual reconciliation.
AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED
Following the events, the police launched an investigation into the incident. The suspect woman was charged with "intentional serious injury" and "causing harm using dangerous substances." Authorities reported that no arrests had been made so far and that the investigation was ongoing.
