An indictment has been prepared regarding a woman who severely assaulted another woman whom she believed resembled her husband's mistress in Edirne. In the indictment, it was stated that the suspect hit the victim by slamming the car door on her as she was getting out of the vehicle, and then fled the scene after saying, "I thought she looked like her, sorry." The car door was considered a weapon in this incident.
Hamiyet Bingül (40), who parked her car in front of her house after shopping at the market with her spouse and child in the Abdurrahman neighborhood of Edirne, was attacked by another woman while getting out of the car and was beaten and left bleeding in front of her husband and child. After the incident, the victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance, while the suspect, the other woman, was detained by police teams.
"SHE SAID 'I THOUGHT MY HUSBAND WAS CHEATING ON ME'"
In her statement at the police station, the suspect woman said, "I mistook the car for my husband's car, and when the woman got out of the vehicle, I thought my husband was cheating on me. After the incident, when I looked and saw that the person was not my husband and that the car was not ours, I apologized."
THE CAR DOOR WAS CONSIDERED A WEAPON
After the beaten woman filed a complaint, an indictment was prepared by the public prosecutor's office against the suspect woman. The indictment highlighted that the car door was considered a weapon. The suspect will begin to be tried in the coming days.
