THE U.S. STRIKES ANOTHER BOAT COMING FROM VENEZUELA IN THE CARIBBEAN
Recently, President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. military had struck another boat carrying drugs that had set sail from Venezuela. Trump stated that he personally ordered the attack, noting that this was the second strike against drug cartels.
3 CARTEL MEMBERS KILLED
Trump stated that the boat had set sail from Venezuela and was used by drug traffickers, adding that the attack took place in international waters. He mentioned that 3 cartel members were killed in the attack, saying, "These extremely dangerous drug trafficking cartels pose a threat to the national security, foreign policy, and vital interests of the United States."
"IF YOU ARE CARRYING DRUGS, WE ARE HUNTING YOU"
Trump concluded his remarks by saying: "No U.S. military personnel were harmed in this attack. We warn you, if you are carrying drugs that will kill Americans, we are hunting you. The illegal activities of these cartels have had devastating consequences on U.S. communities for decades and have led to the deaths of millions of American citizens. This will no longer be the case."
ACTIVITY IN THE CARIBBEAN
U.S. President Donald Trump had previously issued an executive order to more effectively utilize the military in the fight against Latin American drug cartels. In this context, the U.S. sent warships USS Gravely, USS Jason Dunham, and USS Sampson to the shores of Venezuela at the end of August.
In response, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced that he had mobilized 4.5 million militia forces in the country and was ready to "repel any attack." U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth stated that the U.S. military was prepared for a regime change operation in Venezuela.
