A young woman in the Esenyurt district of Istanbul experienced the shock of her life at a clinic where she went for cosmetic surgery. After undergoing surgery, she found that incorrect and incomplete procedures had been performed. After a while, she returned to request corrections to her body. When she indicated that she would file a complaint, she was subjected to psychological pressure and was told she would be taken to a different branch, where she was re-operated at another hospital. The woman, who filed a complaint against the institution, stated that she wanted to regain her health.
A woman who agreed to undergo various aesthetic procedures at a clinic in Esenyurt for 180,000 TL experienced the shock of her life. It was claimed that faulty and incomplete procedures were applied during the surgery she underwent to remove fat from her abdomen and to lift her breasts.
SHE EXPERIENCED THE SHOCK OF HER LIFE
The young woman, who stated that there were cuts on her abdomen and that her form was distorted, also indicated that the breast lift operation was never performed. When she returned to the clinic after a while to report the issues she experienced and said she would file a complaint, she was met with a negative reaction.
SHE WAS TAKEN TO ANOTHER HOSPITAL FOR A SECOND SURGERY
While it was claimed that psychological pressure was applied to the woman who wanted to undergo surgery again, a date was given for the second operation. When the day of the operation arrived, the woman was taken to a different hospital, being told, "We will take you to a different branch." During this process, she stated that she contracted an infection and said she would file a complaint against the clinic.
"I EXPERIENCED PSYCHOLOGICAL VIOLENCE"
The young woman, who described the problems she faced after the surgery, said, "I agreed with a clinic in Esenyurt for 180,000 TL for tummy tuck and breast lift surgeries. After the operation, my body was shattered, and I went back to the hospital. They told me my doctor had gone abroad, but I learned that he had moved to a different institution. When I said, 'What will happen to me, I will complain about you,' I experienced psychological violence.
They tried to make me sign a contract to waive my rights, but I did not accept. Months later, when I came for surgery, I gave blood, and they tried to make me sign a contract again. They said, 'We will take you to a different branch,' but they took me to a hospital that had nothing to do with it. The conditions at the hospital were very poor, there was a hygiene problem, I had my second surgery there and contracted an infection. I will seek my legal rights, I am filing a complaint," she said.
IT WAS LEARNED THAT THE CLINIC DID NOT HAVE SURGERY PERMISSION
In a statement made by the Esenyurt District Health Directorate, it was learned that the institution where the operation took place did not have the necessary permits, and it was also learned that similar operations had been performed before and that the institution was closed for 20 days. It was noted that a patient who underwent surgery at the same clinic last year died after the operation.
