In Çorum, a 5-month pregnant woman and her baby died in the hospital after being poisoned by eating mushrooms she collected from nature.
Rüveyda Altuntaş (32), who was 5 months pregnant, and her baby died after eating mushrooms she collected from nature in Çorum, despite all interventions at the hospital.
HOSPITALIZED AFTER FEELING ILL
The incident occurred in the Buharaevler neighborhood. According to information obtained, Rüveyda Altuntaş, 5 months pregnant, fell ill after consuming mushrooms she collected from nature. Upon notification, health teams were dispatched to Altuntaş's home. She was taken to a private hospital by ambulance where initial treatment was administered.
COULD NOT BE SAVED DESPITE ALL INTERVENTIONS
As her condition worsened, Altuntaş was subsequently transferred to Hitit University Erol Olçok Training and Research Hospital. However, despite all efforts by doctors, both Altuntaş and her baby lost their lives.
BODY TAKEN TO MORGUE
Altuntaş's body was taken to the hospital morgue to determine the exact cause of death.
