The general cargo ship named "ARDA," which is 98 meters long, experienced a mechanical failure while sailing from Bandırma to Russia near the Umuryeri area of the Istanbul Strait.

The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure reported that the cargo ship was safely anchored in Büyükdere under the coordination of the Istanbul Vessel Traffic Services Center, which is part of the General Directorate of Coastal Safety, accompanied by a pilot captain, Rescue-4, and Rescue-6 tugboats. Due to the ship's malfunction, vessel traffic in the Istanbul Strait was suspended in both directions.
