It has been announced that 7 more senior military officials have been killed as a result of attacks carried out by the US and Israel in Iran. Among the deceased are Major General Mohammad Shirazi, the Secretary General of Iran's leader Ali Khamenei's office, and his deputy, Major General Akbar Ibrahimzadeh.
Seven more names of high-ranking military officials who died in the attacks by the US and Israel in Iran have been announced.
The Tasnim News Agency published the second announcement text from the "Foundation for the Protection and Promotion of Defense and Resistance Values" affiliated with the General Staff.
It was announced that Major General Mohammad Shirazi, Secretary of the Office of Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, his assistant Major General Akbar Ibrahimzadeh, Head of the Planning and Operations Department of the General Staff Operations Directorate Mohseni Motlaq, Deputy Head of General Staff Intelligence Major General Salih Esedi, Head of the Law Enforcement Intelligence Organization Gholamreza Rezaiyan, Head of the General Staff Preparation Department Major General Hasan Ali Tajik, and Deputy Head of Armed Forces Preparation and Logistics Major General Mohsin Darrehbaghi were also killed in the attacks by the US and Israel.
In a statement made by the Iranian Armed Forces yesterday, it was reported that during the Defense Council meeting, Chief of General Staff Abdurrahim Musevi, Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Mohammad Pakpur, Secretary General of the Defense Council Ali Shamkhani, and Logistics Support Officer of the Armed Forces Aziz Nasirzadeh lost their lives.
STATUS OF THE WAR
The attacks initiated by Israel against Iran with US support have entered their third day. As mutual attacks continue, the conflict expanded after a missile was fired from southern Lebanon towards Israel.
Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the attack on the Israeli air defense base near Haifa. Israel announced that it responded.
Donald Trump, who stated that they killed 48 Iranian leaders in the US-Israel attacks, said that the attacks could last for 4 weeks.
UK Prime Minister Starmer announced that they accepted the US request to use British bases to strike Iran's missile depots.
ISRAEL AND US ATTACKS ON IRAN
While the negotiation process between Iran and the US continues, Israel and the US conducted joint attacks on Iran in the early hours of February 28.
The Israeli Ministry of Defense announced that Israel has launched a "preventive attack" against Iran. US President Donald Trump also announced that they have initiated a "major operation" against Iran.
In the attacks, various points in 24 provinces, including the capital Tehran, Isfahan, Karaj, Qom, Tabriz, Bushehr, and Kermanshah, were targeted.
The Iranian army announced that it has launched counterattacks against Israel with ballistic missiles and drones in response to the attacks by the US and Israel.
After the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei, the Iranian army also conducted missile and kamikaze drone attacks on US bases and targets in countries such as Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, and Jordan in retaliation for the attacks.
