A 17-year-old student at a high school in Çekmeköy, Istanbul, stabbed two teachers and one student. While it was reported that one of the teachers is in serious condition, the suspect has been taken into custody.
At the Borsa Istanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Çekmeköy, a 17-year-old student stabbed two teachers and a student. It has been learned that one of the injured teachers is in serious condition.
The incident occurred around 11:00 at the Borsa Istanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School located in Taşdelen. 11th-grade student F.S.B. (17) attacked female teachers F.N.Ç. (44) and Z.A. (52) and student S.K. (15) with a knife he had with him for an unknown reason.
POLICE AND HEALTH TEAMS DISPATCHED
Upon notification, police and health teams were directed to the school. After the health officials provided first aid to the injured at the scene, they were taken to the hospital. It has been learned that the condition of the injured teacher F.N.Ç. is serious. The treatment of the other injured individuals is ongoing.
SUSPECT IN CUSTODY
The student F.S.B., who is said to have carried out the attack, was taken into custody by police teams. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
STATEMENT FROM THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE
The governor's office announced that an investigation has been initiated regarding the matter.
In a statement from the Istanbul Governor's Office, it was reported that at around 11:00, student F.S.B. injured 2 teachers and one student with a knife he had with him, stating, "After the incident, 112 Emergency Health and security teams were dispatched to the area. The three injured individuals were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, while the attacker F.S.B. was taken into custody. One of the three injured individuals remains in serious condition, while the other two do not have life-threatening injuries. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident."
